Coogan Farm Preservation Plan Close to Fruition
The community has rallied together to purchase the historic property and designate it as passive recreational space, available to the public.

A year-long effort to preserve Coogan Farm as public land is very close to reaching its goal, according to an article in The Westerly Sun.
The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center has raised nearly $3 million of the $3.5 million needed to purchase the 34-acre property on the Mystic River and to make the necessary improvements to convert the land to a passive recreational space open to residents, the Westerly Sun reports.
