Family-Owned Chain Of Businesses Charts Opening In Mystic

The retailer is planning to open at a prominent location in Downtown Mystic.

MYSTIC, CT — A family-owned chain of jewelry stores is planning to open a Mystic location.

Lux Bond & Green has a "127-year legacy as a family-owned jeweler, we are honored to bring our tradition of excellence to this iconic shoreline destination," the store wrote on Facebook.

The jeweler plans to open at 49 to 53 W. Main St. The site is the former home of Bank Street Books.

John Green, president and CEO of Lux Bond & Green, said there's no opening date yet "as we have many approvals before we can build a schedule to remodel."

There will be an open house where the Green family, store staff, and architect Jay Stabach will be on hand to discuss concepts for the remodel. The open house will be at the empty site on West Main Street on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.

The company currently operates locations in West Hartford, Glastonbury, Westport, Mohegan Sun, and Wellesley, Massachusetts.
