Key Decision Impacts Mystic River Boathouse Park Construction Timeline
Mystic River Boathouse Park has been in the works for nearly a decade. The Finance Board recently weighed in on the project.
MYSTIC, CT — The Mystic River Boathouse Park project passed a significant hurdle recently when the Stonington Board of Finance approved funding, according to The Westerly Sun.
The move allows work on the $5.3-million project to move forward this summer. The joint effort includes federal and state grants, town funds, and money from Stonington Community Rowing Inc.
It's anticipated that the long-awaited project will begin construction in July and be completed in May 2026.
