MYSTIC, CT — Legislators are joining commuters in pushing for restoration of funding for the Shore Line East train service, according to WTNH News-8.

The Transportation Committee met Monday to discuss a new bill intended to rectify the situation by reinstating funding to pre-pandemic levels and enhancing service.

Services are not reliable and not frequent enough. The bill would add service during weekends, holidays, and the summer.
