Man Killed In 3-Car Crash On I-95 In Stonington: Police
A Pawcatuck man was killed in an accident Tuesday morning, according to state police.

STONINGTON, CT — A man was killed and another was injured in a three-car accident on I-95 in Stonington on Tuesday morning, according to state police. The three cars were traveling southbound on the highway at about 9 a.m. when traffic began to back up due to a lane closure for construction ahead, according to a state police accident report.
A 2004 Toyota Tundra struck a 2013 Volvo S60 T5. The Volvo went into the wire rope guardrail and down an embankment in the center median.
The Toyota Tundra then hit a 2016 Toyota Sienna. The Toyota Tundra left the road, crashed into the guardrail, and and went down the embankment.

The driver and passenger in the Toyota Sienna were not injured. The Toyota Tundra's driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to L&M Hospital in New London, according to state police.
The driver of the Volvo, Kevin Hesch, 39, of Pawcatuck, was killed in the crash.

The vehicles were towed away from the scene of the crash.
