Police Issue Parking Order For Upcoming Bridge Anniversary Celebration

The Mystic Bascule Bridge 100th Anniversary is this weekend.

STONINGTON, CT — The Stonington Police Department announce the issuance of a Temporary No Parking Order, and road closure for Saturday, 10/15/2022, in downtown Mystic. The Temporary No Parking Order and road closure are in conjunction with the Mystic Bascule Bridge 100th Anniversary.

The closure of Cottrell Street will occur at approximately 1000 AM, on Saturday 10/15/22, and will remain in effect until the event has concluded and venders are out of the roadway (Approx 10 PM).

The Temporary No Parking Order on Cottrell Street will be effective from 4:00 AM on Saturday 10/15/22, until 10:00 PM on the same day. No Parking will also be added to some surrounding streets to ensure efficient traffic flow and access to emergency vehicles.

Fireworks will begin at 8:15 PM in the Mystic River in the area of the Mystic Seaport.
