RI Man Charged In Fatal I-95 Crash In Stonington: State PD

A Rhode Island man was arrested in connection to a fatal crash that occurred on I-95 in Stonington in January, according to state police.

STONINGTON, CT — A Rhode Island man was arrested Wednesday in connection to a fatal crash that occurred earlier this year on Interstate 95 in Stonington, according to state police.

In a news release, state police said Joseph Teixeira, 22, of East Providence, R.I., turned himself into Troop E - Montville around 10 a.m. on the strength of an active arrest warrant.

According to state police, the warrant for Teixeira's arrest stems from an investigation into a fatal three-car crash that occurred Jan. 11 on I-95 northbound in Stonington, in which a 78-year-old North Franklin woman was killed.
