Road Work In Stonington To Cause 'Temporary Inconveniences'

STONINGTON, CT — Road work is underway in Stonington and will continue in the coming days.

The Department of Public Works said milling operations began this week on North Stonington Road and Haley Way and will continue to Lantern Hill, Marjorie Street, and Linda Avenue.

"This essential work is part of our ongoing commitment to improve local infrastructure and ensure the safety and accessibility of our roads," the department said in a statement. "Following the completion of these milling operations paving will take place to restore the road surfaces.

"We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time. We acknowledge that roadwork can cause temporary inconveniences, but we assure you that it is necessary for the overall improvement of our community's transportation network."
