Robbery Reported At Pawcatuck Bank Branch: Police

Police are investigating the robbery of a Pawcatuck bank that occurred Wednesday morning.

STONINGTON, CT — A Chelsea Groton Bank branch at 116 W. Broad St. in Pawcatuck was robbed Wednesday, according to Deputy Police Chief Todd Olson.

The robbery occurred at 11:20 a.m. Olson said the suspect implied that he had a weapon.

The suspect fled on a motorcycle with an undetermined amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

The incident is under investigation.

Lori Dufficy, of Chelsea Groton Bank, issued the following statement: "Our top priority is the safety of our team and customers, and we are thankful to report that everyone is safe. As this is an ongoing investigation, we are not at liberty to release any additional information at this time."
