Special Olympics Unified Sports Fall Festival Set to Inspire and Unite
Event will take place next weekend, September 14th-15th and the 28th- 29th

Special Olympics Connecticut is thrilled to announce the return of its Unified® Sports Fall Festival Presented by Mohegan Sun, a celebration of inclusivity and athletic excellence, which will take place September 14th and 15th and 28th and 29th. The event will feature a variety of sports competitions and bring together hundreds of athletes and Unified Sports partners from across the state. It is open to the public and free to attend. Sports competition will include a Unified Sailing Regatta at The Wadawanuck Club, 196 Water Street in Stonington on the 14th, softball at the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Club, 200 Clement Road in East Hartford and bocce at the Old Grove Bocce Courts, 1 Oak Street in Savin Rock of West Haven on the 14th and 15th, and golf at Sleeping Giant Golf Course, 3931 Whitney Avenue in Hamden on the 15th. The Fall Festival will continue on September 28th and 29th, with croquet competition at Ocean House, 1 Bluff Avenue in Westerly Rhode Island.
In between their games, participants at the Fall Sports softball venue will have the opportunity to take part in health activities including oral health education offered by volunteers from the UConn School of Dental Medicine and performance stations. Performance stations aim to promote athletes’ well-being and competition readiness. Both activities are being made possible through the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes® program.
