Stonington 2023 Election Voter Guide: Candidates, Polling Places
Here's everything you need to know concerning the Stonington local elections, including the candidates, polling places, and voting hours.

STONINGTON, CT — On Nov. 7, Stonington residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions. Contested races include: First Selectman, Selectman, Board of Finance, Board of Education, and Constables.
Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
Connecticut also allows for Election Day registration at designated centers in each town. People must be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote using Election Day registration. To receive your absentee ballot, complete and sign an application and return it to your Town Clerk, or you can request an absentee ballot online.

First Selectman

The Democratic candidate is Laura Graham. The Republican candidate is Byran Bentz. The Forward Party candidate is Danielle Angela Chesebrough. Michael J. Spellman is a petitioning candidate.
Selectman
The Democratic candidate is Ben Tamsky. The Republican candidate is Deborah Downie. The Forward Party candidate is June D. Strunk. Frank V. Todisco is a petitioning candidate.
Town Treasurer
Democrat Sandy Grimes is running unopposed.
Board of Finance
For Board of Finance, you'll vote for up to three candidates. The Democratic candidates are Deborah Norman, William R. Sternberg, and Farrah Garland. The Republican candidates are John Prue and David A. Brown.
Board of Education
For Board of Education, you'll vote for up to three candidates. The Democratic candidates are Meghan Blanchette and Farouk Rajab. The Republican candidates are David Lee and Katie Gauthier.
Board of Assessment Appeals
Democrat Stephen J. Adams is running unopposed.
Constables
For Constables, you'll vote for up to four candidates. The Democratic candidates are Joseph Trelli, Peter Perenyi, Donald R. Maranell, and Lorrain A. Tamsky. The Republican candidates are Dan Booker, Anthony D. Lombardo, James J. Kelley, and Susette Tibus. The Forward Party candidates are David S. Purvis, Marjorie Loretta Selinger, Justin W. McKenna, and Mary Kathleen Careb.
