The Collins Road Bridge (#137009) was recently evaluated and determined to have a reduced structural capacity. The Town’s Structural Engineering Consultant has recommended a modified load rating of 2 Tons, therefore rendering the structure open but only to pedestrians, cars and light trucks.

Additionally, signage will be installed at the bridge and in advance locations to include both intersections with US Route #1 & Flanders Road. The Collins Road Bridge will continue to serve the community at reduced structural capacity while planning efforts commence to determine the best rehabilitation scenario.
