Stonington To Distribute COVID-19 At-Home Tests To Residents
The town will distribute 2,000 tests this week.

STONINGTON, CT — The town will distribute about 2,000 COVID-19 test kits to residents at various locations Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Each household is allowed to take a maximum of two test kits.
The town wrote on its website: "In an effort to help curb the spread of COVID-19 during this heavy travel and holiday season, state agencies are working together to distribute a limited number of COVID iHealth test kits to Towns and Cities across the State. This is meant to be a stop-gap-measure to help curb further holiday spread. The State’s primary focus is on the members of the public who have interacted or intend to interact with numbers of people whose COVID status is unknown. We will continue to have additional testing options in and around our community, and there are also further federal plans underway to get more tests to people later in January/early February."
