Stonington Road Closed Due To Utility Work [UPDATE]
The road has since reopened but officials said work will continue in the area for the next few days.
UPDATE: The road reopened shortly after 1:30 p.m. Thursday and the town posted the following:
"Farmholme Road has reopened for the day. Be advised that work will continue in the area for the next few days which may from time to time impact motorists. Please seek alternate routes as work continues to avoid delays and closures. Thank you!"

STONINGTON, CT — The town is advising drivers that utility work has closed Farmholme Road.

Please be advised that ongoing emergency utility work will result in significant traffic delays and road closures on Farmholme Road throughout the remainder of the day. The work is taking place between Barnes Rd and Pequot Trl. Residents will be allowed but no thru traffic. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Thank you
