Three Dogs Available For Adoption in Stonington
A handsome young man and an old guy with some issues are looking for homes, as is the lovely Brandy.
Stonington Animal Control has three dogs available for adoption, Animal Control Officer Rae Jean Davis said.
New to the shelter is Tanner, a young adult male pit bull mix. He was found roaming in Mystic and went unclaimed. Davis said he "is very friendly and a handsome guy."
Skipper is a senior dog, at least 16 years old, poodle/Maltese mix. He is neutered and mostly blind. Says Davis: "He was neglected in the past and will bite when you try to clean his ears and clip his nails. He is good though when you brush him, bathe him, and you can carry him around. Since he doesn’t like his ears touched, we are looking for a home with no small children or other dogs as they may get bit if they touch his ears. He had a painful ear infection and although it has been cleared up he still seems to remember the pain he was in."
So Skipper will need a special family.
Brandy, the beautiful female pit bull, remains at the shelter waiting for her forever family.
