We expect moderate to major flooding, with a potential storm surge of up to 3 feet and an additional rainfall of 4"-6". Sustained winds of 60 MPH and gusts to 70 MPH are expected. Eversource is expecting major outages across the state and has notified Towns that restoration work could be extensive.

Please know, we issued evacuation notifications, based on the likelihood of storm surges and flooding. Please know your evacuation zone and make a plan. Even if your home is not in a flood zone, know road access could be restricted. We recommended anyone living in the 'orange' area of the map to evacuate. If you were planning to leave your home it was recommended to have done it Saturday evening.

Due to COVID, we highly suggest that if you need alternate housing to find friends or family to stay with. If that is not possible, please know we will very likely be opening the Emergency Shelter at Stonington High School at 6pm Saturday. Please wear a mask in the shelter.
