Truck Carrying 40K Lbs. Of Bananas Crashes On I-95 In Stonington
A truck carrying bananas was involved in a rollover accident that led to traffic on I-95 in Stonington on Tuesday morning.

STONINGTON, CT — A truck carrying 40,000 lbs. of bananas was involved in a rollover accident that closed an I-95 ramp Tuesday morning, according to police.
The off-ramp on I-95 Northbound at Exit 92 was closed due to the crash.
The tractor-trailer driver was transported to a hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries, WFSB 3-TV reported.

State police posted the following on Facebook:
"Expect delays and seek an alternative route if traveling on I-95 in the Town of Stonington. A minor injury roll over crash involving a tractor trailer hauling 40,000 lbs of bananas has closed the off ramp for Exit 92."

The accident was reported at 6:49 a.m., according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation. It was cleared in the afternoon.
