Unique Photo Studio Opens In Downtown Mystic
An artist is offering a new portrait photography experience at a downtown Mystic space.
MYSTIC, CT — Concrete Iris Photography, a boutique photography studio specializing in macro iris photography, will hold a grand opening this week.
The event will be at the 3N Pearl St. store Tuesday from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
"Combining art, science, and cutting-edge technology, Concrete Iris Photography captures the intricate beauty of the human eye in breathtaking detail," according to a statement from the business.

Concrete Iris Photography was founded by Vincent Pujo, a Connecticut-based artist "with a passion for authenticity and human connection."
The studio offers clients a "one-of-a-kind way to see themselves — literally — through stunning, high-resolution portraits of their irises. Each photograph reveals the vibrant patterns, colors, and textures unique to the individual, turning the eye into a captivating and affordable work of art."

“Every iris tells a story,” Pujo, owner and lead photographer, said in a statement. “Each iris is unique and offers unexpected beauty, making it a fascinating subject to capture. Whether for couples, families, or individuals, these portraits celebrate what makes us special on the most personal level.”
The studio offers individual iris portraits, couple and family iris compositions, custom digital artwork and product options, and gift certificates and private events.
The studio says that walk-ins are always welcome but appointments are recommended.
The grand opening will feature a ribbon cutting, a raffle for an iris photography session and print, and complimentary sips and bites provided by Mystic’s Pop Over Eatery.
