15 Cats ‘Dumped’ In Stratford: Animal Control

The animal control is asking for help with information about the owner of 15 cats that were abandoned in Stratford over the weekend.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford Animal Control is asking for help with information about the owner of 15 cats that were abandoned in Stratford over the weekend.

“Sadly, over the weekend, 15 cats were dumped on River Rd.,” the animal control wrote in a post on Facebook. “They were left in crates but we luckily got to them before the heavy rains started. If anyone has any information about the owner of these cats please contact us at 203-385-4058.”

The incident is also being investigated by Stratford police.

Police said the cats were left without any food, water, or shelter against the elements.

The animal control is also raising funds to help pay for the cats’ veterinary care.
