Business Owner 'Loves And Cares For All': Stratford Local Hero

STRATFORD, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Karen Murphy, who nominated Stratford business owner Howard Aspinwall.

Reason for recognition: During the pandemic and even before it, he is a constant in helping different organizations in Stratford. He just finished up with a fundraiser to get masks to teachers.

One thing to know: He loves and cares for all. He owns the store Mellow Monkey.
