Carol Ann Furnari, age 78, of West Haven, passed away on April 4, 2025
Carol enjoyed her family, sewing, gardening, and singing. Beloved Mother & Grandmother.
Carol Ann Furnari, age 78, of West Haven, was born on January 7, 1947, and passed away gracefully on April 4, 2025, with her children by her side. Carol was predeceased by her parents William and Agnes Zachlod along with her twin sister Donna Costa.
Carol grew up in Stratford, CT, and graduated from Stratford High School. She worked as an accountant for the Milford Citizen and as a court monitor for Milford Superior Court.
At an early age, Carol and her family fell in love with music and the industry. In 1966, Carol, Aunt Donna, and Aunt Jan formed an amazing band "Sherry Satins" They recorded two songs with karate records. Don't let you catch them crying and Little girl sad. In addition to being a singer, she also played piano. Carol also enjoyed her family, sewing, gardening, and her pets Cleo, Morgan, and Chantz.
Carol is survived by her, former husband Alfio Furnari and wife Rose; daughter Donna Kapakos and husband Angelo; son Thomas Furnari; daughter MaryAnn Bourgeois and husband Eric; beloved grandson Mason Bourgeois; brother Norman Zachlod and wife Jan; nephews Aaron and Mark Zachlod; brother-in-law John (Jack) Costa; nephew Billy Costa; sister-in-law Carmela Boughton and husband Robert Boughton (predeceased); brother-in-law Joseph Furnari and wife Isa; sister-in-law Phyllis Rega and husband Frank. In addition, so many very loved nieces, nephews, and their children.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford.
