Coyote Rescued From Frigid Waters In Stratford
The animal spent a night recovering with Stratford Animal Control before being released over the weekend.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford emergency personnel made an unusual water rescue when they encountered a coyote struggling near Brewer's Marina.
The fire department was doing training exercises at the marina when they found the animal swimming in the water but exhausted and freezing, according to Stratford Animal Control, which said in a social media post on Saturday that first responders came to the coyote’s aid.
“We got him warmed up, fed & hydrated,” the animal control agency said in the post, which included a photo of the coyote, who appeared comfortable in a crate with bedding.
