Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?
Yes
What does the nominee do for work?
Peapod Stop & Shop in Norwalk, head chef in Bridgeport restaurant
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
He should be recognized because he is a hard worker. It doesn’t matter if he’s in pain, doesn’t feel good, he gets up and goes to work, working two jobs: Stop & Shop and at a restaurant on Park Avenue in Bridgeport, where he is the head chef. He’s always saying that everyone is counting on them to make sure they have food at their door. And having a sick wife at home, he takes care of her and every Sunday he feeds the public after working at Stop & Shop in Norwalk. He goes to his church and prepares food to feed over 200 people. He is loved by many, he goes above and beyond, especially for our church family at Bridgeport Tabernacle Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Elder Leroy Palmer, you are loved be me and many more.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
He will give you the shirt off his back. He will help you any way he can or point you in the right direction.
