Man Killed In Stratford Shooting: Police

The shooting took place early Saturday morning on Regency Terrace.

STRATFORD, CT — A man died at the hospital after being shot early Saturday morning in Stratford, according to police.

Police said they were called to Regency Terrace around 2:19 a.m. for the report of a shooting. A man suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where he died, according to police.

A preliminary police investigation found that two men were sitting in a parked car on Regency Terrance when they were approached by two men on foot, police said. The group exchanged words before one of the men fired at least one shot and struck the victim, police said.

The victim was sitting inside the car. Police say the two men on foot fled the scene.

No arrests have been made and the victim's identity has not been released.
