New Year's Holiday Closures, Announcements In Stratford
Officials announce the schedule for town buildings and trash collection for New Year's Eve and Day.

STRATFORD, CT — In observance of the New Year’s Eve holiday, Stratford Town offices will close early on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 2:30 p.m.
Baldwin Center, as well as the offices of the Tax Collector, Tax Assessor, and Town Clerk will close at 2 p.m.

Residents planning to conduct business with these departments are advised to plan accordingly.
Town Hall will be closed all day on Thursday, Jan. 1.

Sanitation Schedule: There will be NO refuse or recycling collection on Thursday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day. All routes will be one day late, with Friday’s route to be collected on Saturday. The Transfer Station on Watson Boulevard will be on Jan. 1.
The collection of yard waste was suspended for the season on Dec. 22. That was the last day of collection.
Collection will resume again in April. During the winter months, residents can bring yard waste to the Transfer Station on Watson Boulevard. Residents are reminded that only grass, leaves in paper bags or cans, and branches no longer than 4’ and 1” in diameter tied in bundles or placed in the bags or cans will be collected with yard waste. Plastic bags, plastic planters, dirt and rocks will not be collected.
