Nurse Collected Food Donations For Patients: Stratford Local Hero
We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share their amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

STRATFORD, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Stratford Mayor Laura Hoydick, who nominated her neighbor, Patricia Poniros.

Name: Patricia Poniros
Hero's job: Health care
Reason for recognition: Pat works at the Norma Pfriem Breast Center as an RN and delivers wonderful care to her patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pat collected food donations to deliver to her patients who were too sick or immunocompromised to care for themselves.
One thing to know: Pat is very generous and truly cares about her patients and their welfare.
Thank you for all you do, Patricia!
