STRATFORD, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Name: Heather Walton

Hero's job: Health Care

Reason for recognition: Heather earned her LPN license while being a devoted mom to four. She began her nursing career as COVID hit Fairfield County hard. To say she hit the ground running without easing into her career as a nurse is a gross understatement. She worked tirelessly.

One thing to know: She's always put the needs of others above herself.

Thank you for all you do, Heather!
