Obituary: Anna (DeCrescenzo) Macchiaverna, 93, of Stratford
Anna loved to sing, had strong Catholic faith and was always loving and devoted to her family.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Anna (DeCrescenzo) Macchiaverna, age 93 of Stratford and wife of the late Carmine Macchiaverna, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Mario and Tina (DeStefano) DeCrescenzo.
She loved to sing in the choir at Our Lady of Grace Church and had a strong Catholic faith.
Anna is survived by her children, Gregory Macchiaverna, Judy Jones, Joseph Macchiaverna, and Rita Kulikowski; grandchildren, Michael Jones, Joseph Kulikowski, Stephanie Lucius, Kristin Pilley, Dennis Macchiaverna; 6 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Esther Riccio and Linda Contaldi; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Carmine, Anna was predeceased by her sister, Marie Daher.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association (heart.org).
Friends may visit on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 11-12:30 p.m at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
A prayer service will begin at 12:30 p.m. and inurnment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull will follow.
Visitors must wear a mask.
