Obituary: Eric 'Rick' DiCicco, 66, Of Stratford

Rick, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, was a standout athlete in his youth. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and golfing.

STRATFORD, CT - (From Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home) Eric “Rick” DiCicco, 66 of Stratford, passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2022 surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport, CT, Rick was the son of the late Erik and Gloria (Winters) DiCicco.

Rick spent many years employed at Carpenter Steel until the plant closed. He then went on to work many years as a consultant for a local utility company. Rick was a star athlete throughout high school and college, and went on to spend lots of time hunting, fishing and golfing.

He loved reading and listening to rock and roll music. Most of all, Rick enjoyed being a grandfather, and was proud of all of his grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marilyn, his daughters Jaimee Dalton and her husband Chris, Jessica DiCicco and her partner Steve Zahorsky and son Ricky DiCicco, as well as his grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan and Lily.

Rick is also survived by his sister Gloria Bordonaro and her husband Michael, and several nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by brothers Alan and Glen DiCicco.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday morning February 3, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.in the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery.
