Obituary: Gail 'Cookie' Brauer, 64, Of Stratford
Cookie, an administrative assistant for CES in Trumbull, enjoyed cooking, arts, crafts and spending time with loved ones.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Gail “Cookie” Brauer, age 64, of Stratford, beloved wife of Ronald Brauer, passed away on May 29, 2022, in her home.
Gail was born in Bridgeport on January 29, 1958, to the late Albert and Victoria (Bushinski) Gronchick and had been a lifelong Stratford resident. She was a graduate of Bunnell High School, class of 1976, and was an administrative assistant for CES in Trumbull.
Survivors in addition to her beloved husband of 40 years include her devoted sons, Jonathan and Vincent Brauer of Stratford, and Peter Brauer and his wife Fawn Moro of Naugatuck, cherished granddaughter, Belle, and sister, Patricia Jankura of Shelton.
Her family describes her as someone who wasn’t happy if she wasn’t busy. She was not one to ever sit still and was always looking for her next venture.
Whether it be cooking, painting, crafting, crocheting, woodworking, or quilting, Cookie excelled at whatever creative project she undertook.
As a result, the family’s home is filled with little reminders of the woman they love.
Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home - Stratford.
