Obituary: Gina M. Faustini, 94, of Stratford

Gina, always remembered for her generosity and welcoming smile, was a retired Quality Control Inspector for Hawie Manufacturing Company.

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Gina M. Faustini, age 94, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Pietro Faustini, passed away on December 4, 2021, in Cape Cod Hospital.

Gina was born in Ripi, Italy on April 9, 1927, to the late Enrico and Costanza (Viselli) Masi and emigrated to the United States at the age of 20 and has been a longtime area resident. She was a retired Quality Control Inspector for Hawie Manufacturing Company.

Survivors include her devoted son, Mario Faustini and his wife Lynda of Stratford, cherished granddaughters, Cassandra Faustini of Stratford, and Allison Faustini (Victor Blanco) of Hartford, 2 great-grandchildren, Romy and Marius, a step-grandson, Alex, sisters-in-law, Vincenza and Pierina Masi and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Gina was pre-deceased by her brothers, Domenico Masi, Michele Masi and his wife Tina, and Emilio Masi.

Gina will be remembered always for greeting everyone with her welcoming smile and for touching so many lives with her positive attitude. She was a generous, caring woman who loved going to the beach, especially on Cape Cod.

Her gift was in her ability to enjoy the simple pleasures in life such as spending time with her family and friends, growing vegetables in her carefully tended garden, and cooking homemade pasta to share with all those around her table. She will be deeply missed for these and her many other special qualities.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.

Masks are required, as visitors walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 10th at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. James Church 2070 Main Street Stratford. Entombment will be in St. Michael’s Chapel Mausoleum.
