Obituary: Glen E McFarland, 82, of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Glen E McFarland, age 82, of Stratford, died on Christmas morning while his wife, Marilyn, lovingly held his hand.

Mr. McFarland was born in Bridgeport to the late Clifford and Lillian McFarland.

He retired from Textron-Lycoming where he had been employed for 30 years.

Glen loved fishing and boating. Some of his best times were days spent on the boat with his late daughter, Heather, who enjoyed fishing as much as he did.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn (Rossi) McFarland; sister, Nancy McFarland of New York; and two nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Heather McFarland.

Marilyn thanks the Milford Hospital ICU nurses for their extraordinary care and compassion. They truly went above and beyond.\

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10:30 am at Holy Name of Jesus Church with a Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Rev.

Albert Pinciaro. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 9 am to 10 am at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Contributions in his memory may be made to Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave., Stratford, CT 06614.
