Obituary: Joseph S. Leskovsky, 95, of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Joseph S. Leskovsky, age 95, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Emily Yacko Leskovsky, passed away on January 22, 2022, at Lord Chamberlain Health Center, Stratford.

Joe was born in Bridgeport on June 18, 1926, to the late Andrew and Mary (Hetes) Leskovsky and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy serving with the Seabees.

Joe was a retired machinist for Remington Arms and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed playing BINGO and working in the yard, especially snow blowing for the whole neighborhood.

Survivors include his loving daughters, Ann Piccirillo (Earl “Skip” Cullen) of Naugatuck, and Ellen Fazio (John Callan) of Stratford, cherished granddaughters, Amy Laggis (Joseph), and Alyssa Piccirillo, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Joe was pre-deceased by 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, January 26th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Masks are required, as visitors walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m.in Holy Name of Jesus Church 1950 Barnum Avenue Stratford.

Interment with full military honors will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford. Masks are required for all services.
