Obituary: Kenneth James Parks Sr., 66, formerly of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Kenneth James Parks Sr., age 66, of Oxford, the beloved husband of Gail Bene Parks, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 in his home.

Born in Bridgeport on August 16, 1954, to the late Gordon and Kathleen Maher Parks, Ken was a lifetime resident of Stratford prior to moving to Oxford in 1986.

He was a retired sheet metal worker for MRS and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 40, the Sheet Metal Workers’ National, a lifetime member of the NRA a former member of the Bridgeport Riffle Club and Stratford PAL.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 47 years Gail, include his devoted children, Kenneth J. Parks Jr of Standish, ME, Keith Parks and his wife Jaime of Seymour and Allison Tolmie and her husband Andrew of Oxford, his cherished grandchildren, Taylor Downs, Connor and Kaleb Tolmie, a brother Gordon Parks Jr of Florida, several nieces and nephews as well as his lifelong friends.

Ken was predeceased by a brother, Douglas Parks.

Friends may call on Wednesday, July 21st from 4-7 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 22nd at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford.

Interment will be private.
