Obituary: Louis Arthur, 90, of Stratford
Louis, known as a fun, loving, sweet, happy man, proudly owned and operated Lowell's Package Store in Bridgeport for 45 years.

STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Louis Arthur, age 90, of Stratford entered eternal life on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Louis is predeceased by his beloved wife Loretta. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of Grace Church. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Louis was a former business owner of Lowell’s Package Store in Bridgeport for 45 years and was loved by all his patrons, who fondly called him “Cuz” and “Primo”.
Born in Natick, MA on June 28, 1931, to the late Sotir Arthur and Nora (Ndini) Arthur both from Albania. Lou was a loving and devoted husband, to the love of his life, his late wife, Loretta (Bulinski) Arthur, a loving father, Papa, great-grandfather, son, brother and uncle. Louis will be deeply missed but always remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He was a fun, loving, sweet, happy man who was always smiling. Louis had a good word to all and was always spreading the word of his love of Jesus.
He is survived by his loving daughter Karen Taptick of Stratford, his son Richard (Annette) Arthur of Madison and Cindy (John) Thurston of Cumming, GA, four grandchildren his beloved Kristen, Brian, Jennifer and Christopher and 9 great-grandchildren (and one more on the way) Cade, Cameron, Noah, Colton, Annabeth, Declan, Parker, Nicholas and Louis (his namesake). He also leaves his brother Tommy, sisters Vasilika & Loretta and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday, February 3rd from 4-7 p.m. at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Masks are required as visitors walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment with full military honors will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
Masks are required for all services.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a donation in Louis’ name to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Center.
