Obituary: Mary Ann Kalinowski, 74, formerly of Stratford

Mary Ann, always remembered for her generosity and devotion to her family, worked many years for the Stratford school system.

STRATFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home0 Mary Ann Kalinowski, 74, of Oxford, beloved wife of the late Richard Kalinowski, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021. Born on April 17, 1947 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Dinan.

After graduating from Stratford High School, she and Richard lived in Stratford for 37 years before moving to Oxford. She worked for more than 20 years in the lunch program of the Stratford school system.

An avid collector of snowmen decorations, she loved cooking and baking, especially baking with her grandchildren. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends playing cards or bunco, or the slots at the casino.

She will be remembered by those that love her for her cookies, pies, macaroni and cheese, as well as for her love of chocolate.

Most of all, she will be remembered for her generosity and devotion to her family and their traditions.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Jim (Eileen) Kalinowski from Amherst, New Hampshire, Tom (Kim) Kalinowski from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Jill (Sean) Degnan from Milford, Connecticut; her grandchildren, Meaghan, Julia, Haley, Stella, and Joseph; sister, Margaret Eberle, James (Darlene) Dinan, John (Lisa) Dinan, William (Suzanne) Dinan; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret (Mihalik) Dinan, and her brother Joseph Dinan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 16th at 11:00 am at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, Connecticut.
