Obituary: Patricia Wines, 78, formerly of Stratford
Patricia worked many years in the jewelry industry, was very active in the community and cherished spending time with loved ones.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Patricia Wines, age 78, formerly of Stratford, CT, passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2021 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George Wines.
Patricia was born in Bridgeport, CT on October 24, 1943 to John and Anna Duch. She attended St. John’s Nepomucene School where she met and kept lifelong friends who became family.
She worked at Connecticut National Bank for several years and then met and eventually married George and moved to Stratford.
Pat worked for years at Harstan’s and Finlay Fine Jewelers and retired at 60 to become a full-time grandmother, her favorite job of all. She volunteered at Bridgeport Hospital Gift Shop and was an active parishioner at St. Marks Church.
She enjoyed travel, Broadway with friends, visiting her family and the occasional trip to the casino with friends. Patsy is survived by her four children, James (Susan) Wines, Jennifer (James) Lane, Thomas (Adrienne) Wines, Gregory (Anna) Wines and 8 loving grandchildren.
The Wines Family would like to thank the staff at Split Rock and Always Best Care for their support and care for Pat.Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11 am at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
Friends may call on Monday from 9 am until time of service. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well and masks will be required.
