Obituary: Phyllis Anne O’Brien, 75, of Stratford
Phyllis, a decorated basketball player in her youth and avid golfer, served as Senior Vice President for the Southern CT Gas Co.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home) Phyllis Anne O’Brien, age 75 of Lordship and Tampa, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in Bridgeport she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Neysa Williamson O’Brien.
Phyllis was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and received her master’s degree from Scared Heart University where she lettered in basketball and remained undefeated for four years.
She worked many years at Southern CT Gas Co. where she retired as Senior Vice President.
After her retirement, she split time between Lordship and Tampa, she was an avid traveler, golfer and reader.
She will be greatly missed by her brothers; Thomas O’Brien and his wife Eleomeda of Tampa, Fl, William (Wilbur) O’Brien of Lordship and her sister, Denise O’Brien of Lordship.
She is also survived by her nieces; Tiffany and Jennifer, her nephew, Aaron and great nieces and nephews; David, Carrie and Jack, as well as her best friends, Bonnie O’Brien and Mary Fiorini.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her long-time partner, Mike Pinto.
The hours of visitation for Phyllis will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 4:00 Pm to 6:00 Pm at the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
