Obituary: Raymond H. Kaminski, 72, formerly of Stratford
Ray proudly served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and devoted his life to volunteering.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home) Raymond H. Kaminski, age 72 of Milford, formerly of Stratford, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital.
He was born in Bridgeport on September 16, 1949 a son of late Francis and Genevieve Krajnik Kaminski.
Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, stationed with the 110th Transportation Company on the Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base in Saigon.
He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Eastern Paralyzed Veterans in New Hampshire, National Geographic Society and the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Ray devoted his life to volunteering, mostly with American Red Cross and Bridgeport and St. Vincent hospitals.
He is survived by his brothers; Francis S. Kaminski and Norman K. Kaminski and his wife Elvira all of Stratford.
His is also survived by his nephew, Daniel F. Kaminski.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
Interment with full military honors will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford. Friends may greet the family Thursday morning at 10:00 AM until time of services.
