Obituary: William F. Jankovsky Jr., 73, of Stratford
Bill, an avid gardener and dedicated volunteer, was a proud U.S. Army veteran and longtime imaging technician for the Connecticut Post.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) William F. Jankovsky Jr., 73, of Stratford, beloved husband of Gail Canell Jankovsky, passed away on January 28, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital.
Bill was born in Bridgeport on January 22, 1949, to the late William Sr. and Helen (Kusy) Jankovsky and had been a lifelong area resident.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Bill was a retired imaging technician for the Connecticut Post Newspaper and was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing “world class tomatoes”
He was also a longtime volunteer, feeding the needy at The Lord’s Kitchen.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include his devoted daughters, Tracey Gairing and her husband William, Dawn Luna, and Nancy Koch and her husband Jeff, cherished grandchildren, Amber, Anthony, Nathaniel, Timothy, Melanie, and Dakota, sister, Barbara Jankovsky, and mother-in-law, Anna Mae Canell.
A memorial service will take place in the spring.
