Police: Two Local Armed Robberies Could be Connected

Armed robberies took place in Stratford and Shelton early Sunday morning.

Stratford police received a call just after 2 a.m. Sunday night reporting the Mobil gas station at 7294 Main St. had been robbed at gunpoint. There were no injuries and only cash was stolen, Connecticut Postings reports.

Only a few minutes later, Shelton police were called to an armed robbery at a gas station at 819 River Rd.

Stratford police now believe the two robberies may be connected, according to News 12. Investigations continue.
