Daniel N. Chanda, 91, died May 26, 2025. A Navy veteran and retired Assistant Chief of the Stratford Fire Department, he also served on the Fire Commission and spent many years as an avid polka and square-dancing enthusiast.

Eleanor M. Fisch, 85, died May 31, 2025. She worked as a secretary and graphic designer, earned degrees in liberal arts and communications while raising five children, led youth programs, created the cartoon character Beanie the Clown, and was active in multiple art associations including serving as president of the Fairfield County Arts Association.
Nancy Louise Wlcek, 67, died May 31, 2025; after earning an associate degree and working in various roles, she found the most fulfillment as a waitress and enjoyed bingo, cooking, watching Jeopardy, and gardening.
