Salary Increase Approved For Stratford Mayor After Election
The Stratford Town Council voted to increase the mayor's salary, which will take effect after the municipal election in November.
STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford Town Council recently approved, by a 7-3 vote, a 14-percent salary increase for the mayor position, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports the salary, which will increase from $131,431 to $150,000, takes effect next year after the mayoral election in November.
The new salary includes annual 2.5 percent increases, according to the Post.

Mayor Laura Hoydick, a Republican, has announced she is seeking re-election to a third term, while David Chess and Linda Manos are declared candidates for the Democratic nomination.
