STRATFORD, CT — A Starbucks location on Barnum Avenue in Stratford is one of the approximately 90 locations across the country that could be closing next year as part of a new company strategy, according to USA Today.

USA Today reported that CEO Brian Niccol announced on an earnings call this week that Starbucks will be phasing out its pick-up only store model in 2026.

Niccol said the "Starbucks Pick Up" venture that was launched in 2019 was no longer compatible with the coffee chain's plan to get "back to Starbucks," according to USA Today
