Why are you seeking this office?
The mayor of Stratford whom I've known for a very long time asked me personally to run. As a longtime resident of Stratford and longtime Republican I am interested in giving back to my community. I am honored to have been asked to serve and will be eager to meet the needs of our community in this role. Stratford is my home. I have been here since 1986 and raised my family here and want to keep families thriving in this community.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
There are many pressing issues from residents including education, quality of life, taxes, apartment construction etc. They are all equally important. Whatever is important to a resident is a pressing issue. I will be available to talk to residents and present concerns to the board and push for resolution.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I delight in deep dialogue with people and am a good listener. The residents of this district will have an advocate in their corner who will develop lasting relationships with them. I am very present in the community visiting Jared's dog park daily and walking in Roosevelt Forest daily with my doberman pinscher Xander. I will have an eye on the forest every day! I am retired and look forward to the next chapter!

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Proactive maintenance of parks in our district with the safety of our residents a priority.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I was employed by the State of Connecticut as an Adult Probation Officer in Bridgeport and then served as the Chief Probation Officer in that office for 11 years. I supervised 60 employees in many capacities. I served on many community boards. I also have my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in family counseling and was a family therapist for 30 years and always look for an opportunity for meaningful dialogue.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Do what is right, not what is easy!

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am here to serve the voters in my district and will always have their best interest at heart. Being retired I am available to listen and their concerns become my voice.
