Stratford Fire Department Issues Temporary Ban On Open Burning
"These restrictions are being put into place due to the current high fire danger conditions in the state and in the town of Stratford."
The following announcement is from the Stratford Fire Department:
STRATFORD, CT — Due to the warm and dry temperatures, the Stratford Fire Marshal is issuing the following notice:
Until further notice, per the Stratford Fire Marshal, there shall be no open burning taking
place. This includes recreational fire pits, campfires, bonfires or any type of open flame
within the town of Stratford.

These restrictions are being put into place due to the current high fire danger conditions
in the state and in the town of Stratford. Individuals kindling unauthorized fires may be
held liable for any and all damages as a result, including fines and prosecution.
