For the seventh year in a row, the Town of Stratford will be flying the rainbow flag at Town Hall throughout the month of June.

STRATFORD, CT — (From Town of Stratford): For the seventh year in a row, the Town of Stratford will be flying the rainbow flag at Town Hall throughout the month of June.

A Pride celebration is scheduled on Wednesday, June 4 at 9 a.m. on the steps of Town Hall (2725 Main Street).

Mayor Laura R. Hoydick will join members from local clergy and community leaders at the event, which is open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

Pride, a month-long celebration of the LGBTQ+ communities during June, was originally started as a commemoration of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City. Since then, Pride has spread across the country, promoting visibility and equality for the LGBTQ+ community.
