Stratford Tax Offices Open For Extended Weekend Hours

The Offices of the Tax Collector and Tax Assessor will be open for extended hours on Saturday, July 26.

STRATFORD, CT — (From Town of Stratford): The Offices of the Tax Collector and Tax Assessor will be open for extended hours for the convenience of residents on Saturday, July 26, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. Both offices will be fully staffed at these times. In-person payments must be made via Cash or Check ONLY.

Taxpayers are reminded that there are several options for paying taxes outside of going to the Tax Collector’s Office, and you may view and pay tax bills on the Town’s website: stratfordct.gov.

Option 1: Online payment options are available at stratfordct.gov. (Please note: For the convenience of paying online, Point & Pay charges 2.5 percent if paying by credit card, a flat fee of $3.50 if paying by debit card, and a flat fee of .90 cents for e-checks.)

Option 2: Mail your payment to Tax Collector, Town of Stratford, PO Box 9722, Stratford, CT 06615-9122

Option 3: There is a dropbox available for those paying by Check ONLY.

(Please include a copy of each tax bill being paid and place in a sealed envelope. The dropbox is located in the Town Hall at 2725 Main Street, Stratford, CT outside of the Tax Collector’s Office)

In-person payments may be made Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Tax Collector’s Office, located at Town Hall (2725 Main Street, Stratford, CT.)

Additionally, in-person payments may be made at all M&T Bank locations as long as you do not owe back taxes and have the original copy of your tax bill.
