The UConn Women’s Basketball team had a 68-point victory Saturday at Gample Pavilion in Storrs during the first round of the NCAA Tournament, according to ESPN.com. UConn Coach Geno Auriemma, born in Montella, Italy, turned 59 Saturday.

UConn started strong, with a 22-3 run while the Vandals were scoreless for 5 minutes. 

In front of 4,627 people, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis scored 22 first-half points, brought in six rebounds, and had three steals.

Uconn will play eighth-seeded Vanderbilt on Monday. This is the 20th consecutive time the Huskies have advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
