SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Assumption University, Worcester MA

  • Craig Gnatek of Suffield, Class of 2028, has been named to the University's Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester. Students named to the Dean's List must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

  • Cameran Bosco of Suffield has been named to the 2025 Emmanuel College Dean's List. Bosco is double majoring in liberal studie and elementary education at Emmanuel. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

  • Springfield College has named x students from Suffield to the spring 2025 Dean's List. Those students and their majors are Nina Artioli, exercise science / applied ES; Andrii Ievtukhov, computer & information science; Cooper Lorenz, exercise science / applied ES; Audrey Sevigny, health science / pre-OT; Olivia Sevigny, physical education & health/FCS; and Riley Webb, finance. The criteria for selection to the Dean's List are as follows: The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, exclusive of "P" grades. The student must not have any incompletes or missing grades in the designated term. The student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term. Student must not have been barred from Dean's List due to disciplinary action.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • Katie Beynor, Caroline Bishop, Delia Fuller, Kyah Quitno, Jen Radulski, Jenna Seplowitz, Madison Serafinski and Kayleigh Smith, all of Suffield, were named to the spring 2025 Dean's List. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

  • Jacqueline LoVoi of Suffield, a member of the class of 2026 majoring in chemical engineering, was a member of a student team that recently completed a professional-level research-driven project titled "SJ25 Campanario IQP." Known as the Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP), this project is a core part of the innovative undergraduate experience at WPI. Centered around project-based learning, this hands-on approach offers students opportunities to help develop thoughtful solutions to open-ended problems. These real-world problems affect the quality of life for people in the communities where students work, giving students a chance to make a difference in the world before they graduate.
  • David Fitzgerald of Suffield, a member of the class of 2025 majoring in mechanical engineering, recently completed a senior thesis that is required of all graduating seniors as part of the university's distinctive project-based educational experience. David's Major Qualifying Project (MQP), a research-driven, professional-level project that challenges students to solve the kinds of problems they would typically encounter in their professional discipline, was titled "Environmentally Friendly Recycling of E-wastes."
